Happy New Year!
So! what a year, while 2024 was pretty quiet on ZZR updates, it has been a year for sure, over 3000 visitors dropped by, A new guards van was put in to service with new features, Gwlith got a new paint job, Ahndang Works was Opened by Eesoov Elan, had our first Pride train running up and down during the month of June, a new poster was finally made after 5 years, the first annual Race The ZZR happened what raised £170 for the RNLI, and the ZZR turned 9!

Of course we released The Land Lover! what was 100% developed, tested and build really for the ZZR, and then so many of you wanted your own.

What can you expect for 2025?
Good question! Well, this is a incredibly big year for the ZZR, it turns 10 years old! Something i never thought i would ever see, we have a lot of special stuff planned for the entire month of April, usually the Anny stuff runs for 1 weeks, this year a whole month! with hopefully events happening up and down the railway, and of course the passenger railway in general turning 200 years old this year.
As i keep saying, We are planning on a new locomotive, and that goal has very much not changed, we really hope to bring Illios to life this year to round out our loco roster for the next decade!
And of course we very much planning to do another Race The ZZR after the success of last years.
New Manager!
I give to you Alexis Sinclair! The ZZR's newest manager, if you hadn't noticed from Santa's gifts for 2024, Lexi has secretly become a part of the ZZR team for the last month, in this blog we are officially announcing her joining the ZZR management team, Lexi really stepped up and quickly filled in after a previous manager stepped down late last year.
A Bad Note
UPDATED - 3rd of January 2025 -
As of today i have been informed by the owners of the OpenSim Grid that was hosting the stolen content of the ZZR and my friends has been removed, and have applogized, what of course we at the ZZR have accepted, we are happy we could settle this peacefully, as a act of good faith i have removed the part of the blog talking about the incident.
A Better Note
Now the unpleasantness is taken care of. 2024 was an amazing year, i am so happy how everything turned out, and was able to have multiple colabs with friends and neighbours, if it wasn't for Libby Static & Valérie (Valhalla Xaris), Race The ZZR never would of got off the ground. Without Cuthbert Helendale, the steam rally beside the ZZR in Ahndang would of never happened. Without Gwain Knightly's beautiful traction engines, the steam rally would of been empty! Without Eesoov Elan, Ahndang works would of never happened, her tireless work created something truly special there. Of course lets not forget, the ZZR would be nothing without the passengers who come along for the ride, and the managers and creators behind the railway over the 9 years, Amalia Illios, Alexis Sinclair, Eesoov Elan, Dizzi Sternberg, Nightshade Fugu and Janet Rossini, and all the land owners surrounding the ZZR in the county of Seogyeoshire, without you all, the railway would not be what it is today without your hard work.
